Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using PRT Live ("the App"), or by visiting our website at prtlive.app ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Site. The App is operated by Cow Yoga, LLC, the sole legal entity responsible for the App and its services.

PRT Live is a free mobile application that displays real-time operational status information for the West Virginia University Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system. The App aggregates publicly available data and presents it in a convenient format. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to West Virginia University or its transportation services.

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, its servers, or any connected systems.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App.
• Scrape, data-mine, or otherwise extract data from the App or Site in an automated manner without our written consent.
• Transmit any material that is harmful, offensive, or disruptive to the App, Site, or other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms.

PRT Live displays data sourced from publicly available systems. While we strive to show accurate, up-to-date information, we make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any PRT status data. Do not rely solely on the App for safety-critical transit decisions. Always follow official WVU signage and staff instructions.

If you opt in to push notifications, we will send you service-alert updates for the PRT system. You may disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings or within the App. We are not responsible for missed alerts resulting from notification settings, network conditions, or device limitations.

All content, design, code, and branding in the App and on the Site, excluding publicly available PRT data, are the property of Cow Yoga, LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

The App and Site integrate third-party services (such as analytics providers, notification infrastructure, and mapping services). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cow Yoga, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is zero dollars).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cow Yoga, LLC and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App or Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Your continued use of the App or Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App or Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Sections covering disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive any termination.
